Lazy days can be enjoyed on long sandy beaches lying at the foot of dramatic rocky cliffs and bordered by bars and restaurants or on more secluded sandy coves.
Ronda, Cordoba, Granada, Alhambra de Granada, Marbella, Costa Mijas, Fuengirola and Benalmadena can all be visited in one day. Though Cordoba is a little further so a night stop may be appreciated.
Nerja has some beautiful small bays and Balcon de Europa is a must to visit. There are so many bars, restaurants and shops in this very populated town. Playa Burriana which is just outside the town center is the largest and most popular beach with its rocky cliffs falling abruptly down to the sand. Both Herradura and Burriana are great for deep sea diving and other water sports. Many beaches along this stretch of coastline can be visited too in one day. The Costa Del Sol stretches from Gibraltar in the west to beyond the beaches of Nerja in the east. There are many charming coastal areas.

Comares offers a wonderful walk in and around its village ending with the spectacular cemetery with awesome views across the valley. There are also wonderful views of the sea. The second picture here shows Periana and if you take your binoculars you will see the villa. Only a 45 minute drive. There are some nice restaurants as you almost reach the top. They do a set price "menu of the day". |
